Not only adults, children too suffer from mental health disorders. It is not necessary that the reasons for the same are always emotional... physical reasons may too play a part. The causes of mental health problems vary in children and it is very important to treat them at the earliest.

Together with physical health, mental health plays a very important role in shaping your child's future. Protection and care is absolutely essential in a child's life, the deficiency of which may lead to mental disorders. Mental health disorder may lead to the child suffering from hyperactivity disorder, depression, eating disorder and even anxiety.

Both biological and environmental reasons contribute in mental disorder in a child. Biological reasons are chemical imbalances in body, genetics and even injury to the central nervous system. Environmental factors include witnessing muggings or murder, experiences of violence, stress and even broken relationship of parents. There are various symptoms which help you to know that your child is suffering from mental disorder, including, change in mental or physical behavior, getting irritated on petty issues and overreacting to situations.

It is very important that a child suffering from mental health disorder be treated on time. If not attended at the right time it may lead to school failure, drug abuse, conflicts in family and even suicide. There is nothing to worry about as help is available. There are many clinics and centers that shall help treat your child.

Prevention is better than cure, if you do not want your child to suffer any such problems, make sure you give him/her enough attention. Love and care is the basic requirement of every child. Do not quarrel in front of the child and do not allow them to see films that may affect their mental health. Take enough time out to discuss the problems of your child so that there is no burden left within their little hearts.
